Closet adventures

While she has been known to go hang out in the laundry basket with Frank (our catdog) in Daddy's closet, Allie has now discovered my closet. It's got two sliding doors, so she can walk in one side and out the other, which is apparently tres cool. I have to say that I'm quite proud that there is enough room in my closet for a toddler, two blankets, four pillows, two Piggy's, and the rest of my stuff too. It's her secret hideaway - she reminds me of Madalyn! The pics only show about 1/4 of the actual closet.

Just keep scrolling ...

Ok. So, I'm still new at this, and I have no idea why there is progressively more space between the pictures I just posted. Just keep scrolling down until the end. Thanks!

More snow fun!

Today was the perfect day for being outside. It was about 37 degrees and sunny, no wind - we were out there for about 2 hours! The kids loved it, and here are the pictures to prove it! This shot is taken of our side yard. Sarah and I built 4 sledding tracks yesterday - each on is about 75-100 feet long. They started way up where Sarah is at the top of the driveway and end where I'm taking the pic, about a third of the way down our yard in the back. There are quite a few pics - enjoy!
Sarah's getting ready to head down the hill. Allie just wants to walk in the driveway.

Sarah got a running start for this first run of the day! She got air going over Ron's ramps!

Allie investigating the HUGE "sno girkle" (snow circle in Alliese). She actually gave it a hug, but my stupid camera is too slow for a 19 month old.

It was a Kodak moment in our front yard. That's it.

It's destined to be the latest Olympic sport - Drag Your Kid Sister Down the Driveway.

Allie was getting a kick out of trying to climb on a sled covered in snow with boots and gloves full of wintry, snowy, icy goodness. Rather amusing!

Ron hard at work shaping the as of yet unnamed snowman ...

It's official ... in 37 years, this is Ron's first snowman . I did the grunt work (the bottom and most of the middle) he did the head and the decorating. It was a proud moment.

Allie and Daddy taking a stroll down the driveway.

Allie loves the snow, especially rolling down the driveway. She didn't stop until she hit a wall of snow. Even then, she just lay there for a bit. Enjoying the view, I suppose ...

It's a snow day!

We LOVE it here! It's another snow day, and honestly, it's been about a month since we've had a full week of school. This has by far been the best snow day. It finally just snowed - not much of that wintry mix crap. Sarah and I were out for three hours this morning making sledding tracks from the road to the woods - it was so much fun! She totally faceplanted and flipped over (her head was the pivot point - she was going down the track on her belly on a snow tube and flipped over and ended up on her back. It scared both of us, but I'll tell ya - she took it like a trooper!) Then Allie and Ron came out to join in the fun - she loves the snow. It was a great time! For those of you who havent' been up to the house yet, let me explain the pics: the pic of Ron and the girls is taken from our driveway near the road; Sarah passed out is in the side yard; then the house from the road; then our lovely unplowed country mountain road, and finally Sarah with Uncle Loubie in the carport. Check out them big flakes! LOVE IT!
Chef Ron is done dinner - will update more later!
